Does the count include both dates?
By default it counts the days from the start date to the end date, like nights in a hotel: Monday to Friday is 4 days. Tick “include the end date” to count both days (5 days), as for a leave request.
Are public holidays counted as weekdays?
Yes. Weekdays here means Monday to Friday; public holidays differ by country and region, so subtract any that fall in the range.
