Questions people ask
How does the family quotient work?
Taxable income is divided by the number of shares (1 per adult, ½ for each of the first two children, 1 from the third), the scale is applied to one share, and the result is multiplied back. The benefit of each extra half-share is capped at €1,807 for 2026.
Why is contributions a flat percentage?
Employee contributions depend on status, supplementary pension and your employer’s health plan, but land near 22% of gross for most non-cadres and 25% for cadres. Enter the figure from your payslip for a closer result.
