How the conversion works
Everything goes through a yearly figure. Hours a week × 52 gives working hours in a year; weekly pay is the yearly figure ÷ 52, every two weeks ÷ 26, twice a month ÷ 24, monthly ÷ 12 and quarterly ÷ 4.
Questions people ask
How do I convert an hourly wage to a yearly salary?
Multiply the hourly rate by the hours you work in a week, then by 52. At 40 hours a week, $25 an hour is $25 × 40 × 52 = $52,000 a year.
What does “adjusted for time off” mean?
The unadjusted figures assume you are paid for all 52 weeks. The adjusted column removes holidays and vacation days, as if that time were unpaid. For salaried workers it shows what each hour actually worked is worth.
What is the difference between biweekly and semi-monthly pay?
Biweekly pay comes every two weeks, 26 times a year. Semi-monthly pay comes twice a month, 24 times a year.
