Questions people ask

What changed for the 2026 income year?

Because prices rose more than 3% since the last adjustment, the Ministry of Finance raised the personal exemption to NT$101,000, the standard deduction to NT$136,000 (NT$272,000 for couples), the salary deduction to NT$227,000 and the bracket limits to NT$610,000, 1.38 million, 2.77 million and 5.19 million.

What is the basic living expense difference?

If NT$213,000 per person in the household is more than your exemptions plus deductions, the gap is deducted too. It mainly helps families with several dependants.
