Does this handle daylight saving time?
Yes. It uses your browser’s time-zone database, so the offset for each place is the one in force on the date you enter. New York is UTC−5 in January and UTC−4 in July.
What is the difference between UTC and GMT?
For everyday use they are the same time. UTC is the precise atomic standard; GMT is the time zone used in the UK in winter. In summer the UK is on BST, UTC+1.
